Avika Gor is an Indian actress who works primarily in Hindi television and Telugu cinema. She gained nationwide recognition as a child artist for her portrayal of Anandi in the Colors TV serial Balika Vadhu, a long-running show on the subject of child marriage in rural Rajasthan. Avika Gor was born on 30 June 1997 in Mumbai. She began her career in entertainment at a young age, taking on television roles while continuing her schooling. Her early work was in Hindi-language daily soaps produced for general entertainment channels.
Gor rose to prominence in 2008 when she was cast as the young Anandi in Balika Vadhu, produced by Sphere Origins for Colors TV. The serial dealt with the social issue of child marriage and became one of the most-watched programmes on Indian television during its run. Her performance earned her significant attention and several industry awards in the child artist category.
