Dance India Dance (often abbreviated as DID) is an Indian Hindi-language dance reality television series broadcast on Zee TV. Produced by Essel Vision Productions, the show premiered on 30 January 2009 and has since become one of the longest-running dance competition formats on Indian television. It auditions dancers from across India, places them under the mentorship of established choreographers known on the show as "masters", and eliminates contestants through weekly performances judged on technique, presentation and audience response.

The show typically follows a multi-stage selection process. Open auditions are held in major Indian cities, after which shortlisted dancers attend a "mega audition" round before judges. Selected finalists are divided among the resident choreographer-mentors, each of whom trains and presents a team during the competition phase. Each episode showcases solo, duet or group performances across genres such as hip-hop, contemporary, classical, Bollywood, locking-popping and Indian folk forms. Eliminations are decided through a combination of judges' marking and viewer voting, culminating in a grand finale where one contestant is named the winner.
The presence of a "grandmaster" — a senior figure who oversees the choreographer-mentors — is a defining feature of the format. Veteran actor and dancer Mithun Chakraborty has occupied this role across most seasons.
The first season of Dance India Dance aired between January and April 2009, with Salman Yusuff Khan emerging as the winner. The show's success led to multiple subsequent seasons, each headlined by rotating panels of choreographer-judges drawn from the Hindi film and television dance industry.
The show has featured several prominent figures from the Indian dance and film industry as judges, mentors or grandmasters. Recurring names associated with the franchise include Mithun Chakraborty, Geeta Kapur, Terence Lewis and Remo D'Souza, all of whom served on the principal judging panel during the early and middle seasons. Later seasons introduced additional judges such as Kareena Kapoor Khan, Bosco Martis and Raftaar, while the choreographer-master roles have been held by professionals including Dharmesh Yelande, Punit Pathak, Mudassar Khan and Marzi Pestonji.

Several alumni have gone on to careers in Hindi film choreography, dance crews and television, including Dharmesh Yelande, Punit Pathak, Salman Yusuff Khan, Shakti Mohan and Raghav Juyal, who first gained national attention through the show. The programme also served as a template for the emergence of similar dance-based reality formats in Indian television.
