Film debut

Mehta made his Hindi film debut in Haal-e-Dil (2008), produced by Vashu Bhagnani. While the film did not perform notably at the box office, it served as his introduction to mainstream audiences.

Television

His breakthrough came with Star Plus's Pyaar Ka Dard Hai Meetha Meetha Pyaara Pyaara (2012–2014), in which he played Aditya Hooda opposite Disha Parmar. The romantic drama was produced by Sunjoy Waddhwa's Sphere Origins.

He next headlined Ishqbaaaz on Star Plus from 2016, playing the elder Oberoi brother Shivaay. Produced by 4 Lions Films (Gul Khan), the show became one of the channel's prominent prime-time dramas and ran with a spin-off, Dil Boley Oberoi. The series concluded in 2018.

He returned to television in Bade Achhe Lagte Hain 2 (2021–2023) on Sony Entertainment Television, playing Ram Kapoor opposite Disha Parmar's Priya. The show was produced by Balaji Telefilms and was a sequel to the original 2011 series.
