Background

Akal University was established as part of an educational initiative based at Talwandi Sabo, a town of religious and historical significance in the Malwa region of Punjab. Talwandi Sabo is widely known for the historic Sikh seat of Takht Sri Damdama Sahib, and the area has long hosted educational institutions associated with Sikh philanthropic and cultural traditions.
