Overview
Anil Arora is a Canadian former civil servant who served as the 12th Chief Statistician of Canada. He held the position from 19 September 2016 to 31 March 2024, leading the country's national statistical agency during this period.
Before his appointment as Chief Statistician, Arora served in senior roles within the Government of Canada. He was Assistant Deputy Minister at Natural Resources Canada and also held a similar position at Health Canada, contributing to policy and programme administration in these portfolios.
In addition to his work in the public service, Arora is a public speaker and has presented at conferences both within Canada and internationally, addressing audiences on topics related to his professional expertise.
