Significance

Pavitra Rishta is regarded as a landmark Hindi television serial for its portrayal of middle-class Maharashtrian family life and its understated romance between the lead pair. It contributed to the popularity of Marathi cultural elements on national Hindi television and served as a launchpad for several actors who later moved to film, web series, and reality television. The chemistry between Sushant Singh Rajput and Ankita Lokhande remained a strong point of audience nostalgia, particularly after Rajput's death in 2020.
