Annapurna Studios offers a range of facilities for filmmakers, including shooting floors, sound stages, dubbing theatres, recording studios, preview theatres, and digital post-production services such as editing, visual effects, and colour grading. The studio caters to both feature films and advertisement production.
Beyond providing facilities, the Akkineni family operates production banners associated with the studio, producing films primarily in Telugu cinema. The Akkineni family, including Nagarjuna Akkineni and his sons Naga Chaitanya and Akhil Akkineni, has continued the studio's legacy in film production and acting.
The studio campus also houses the Annapurna College of Film and Media (ACFM), an institution offering courses in cinematography, direction, editing, sound design, acting, visual effects, and animation. The college was set up to provide formal training in film and media disciplines.
Annapurna Studios is regarded as a landmark institution in Telugu cinema and contributed to the development of Hyderabad as a major centre for film production in India, alongside Ramoji Film City. The studio has been associated with several films of the Akkineni family across generations and continues to host productions from various Indian film industries.
